Superintendent Donahue spoke about the continued budget process. He informed the finance committee met prior to the board meeting and had reviewed possible reductions. Mr. Donahue shared with board members a list of possible reductions. Board members asked perspective questions. |
| COMMUNITY DIALOGUE CITIZENS CONCERNS | Jaime Snodgrass – spoke to the board about Covid-19 exposure and contamination plan. She will email Superintendent Donahue her information regarding a post contamination disinfectant solution in the event of a Covid-19 exposure. |

| MASB SUPERINTENDENT SEARCH REDUCTION | MOTION by J. DeVlaminck, SECONDED by R. Writer, the Buchanan Board of Education approves the district to apply for the MASB discount pertaining to the superintendent search led by the Michigan Association of School Boards.

| SET 2020-21 BUDGET PUBLIC HEARING DATE | MOTION by J. DeVlaminck, SECONDED by R. Writer, the Buchanan Board of Education adopt the following resolution:
WHEREAS: The Uniform Budget Act requires the 2020-21 Budget be adopted prior to July 1, 2020.
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: The public hearing for the 2020-21 budget will be held at 5:30 p.m. on June 29, 2020 at Buchanan High School Auditorium.
FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED: The board sets a special meeting for 6:00 p.m. on June 29, 2020 for the purposes of adopting the 2020-21 fiscal year school budget.

| PRESENTATION FROM MARK DOBIAS ON SUPERINTENDENT SEARCH | MASB Consultant, Mr. Mark Dobias, presented to the board. He shared a power point which showed the results from his online survey; district strengths, challenges, minimum level of education for the new superintendent, desired leadership style, and personal characteristics desired. Board members dialogued on the selection criteria, desired leadership skills, and personal attributes presented by Mr. Dobias for the superintendent job posting. Mr. Dobias reviewed his timeline for the upcoming deadlines. |
