| COMMUNITY DIALOGUE CITIZENS CONCERNS | Tori Austin’s concern was shared with the board. Superintendent Donahue read the comment she submitted. Ms. Austin was inquiring about the tournaments held at Buchanan High School and COVID-19 guidelines not being followed. She also asked how the school is financially benefiting from the tournament. Dr. Burnett addressed part of her concern. Mr. Donahue will further look into this matter. |

| LIBRARY BOARD MEMBER APPOINTMENT | MOTION by J. DeVlaminck, SECONDED BY Member R. Writer the Board of Education appoints Janet Kuhn as the school district board member to the Buchanan District Library Board.

| ADOPTION OF THE 2019-20 FINAL BUDGET AMENDMENT & 2020-21 BUDGET APPROPRIATION RESOLUTION | MOTION by J. DeVlaminck, SECONDED BY Member R. Writer the Buchanan Board of Education, in accordance with the General Appropriations Act, accepts the Buchanan Community Schools’ budget for the fiscal year 2019-20 amended as presented and the 2020-21 budget appropriation. Said documents to be entered into the minutes of this meeting and to take immediate effect.
Mrs. Lowery, the Executive Director of Business and Operations went over the highlights of the 2019-20 budget as well as the upcoming projected 2020-21 budget. Board members asked perspective questions.

| QUESTIONS & COMMENTS FROM BOARD MEMBERS | Mr. Wentworth announced his resignation as board president effective August 1, 2020.
MOTION by R. Writer, SECONDED BY Member K. Laesch the Buchanan Board of Education accepts the resignation of Board President, Dennis Wentworth, from that position, effective August 1, 2020. We look forward to Mr. Wentworth’s contributions as he continues to be an active board member.

Mrs. Laesch congratulated Dr. Burnett on the births of his grandchildren.
Mrs. Writer commented as the board embarks on the journey for a new superintendent to remember that the first and greatest concern is for the safety and education of our students.
Mr. DeVlaminck mentioned hopes of getting a board president selected in July. |
